On the outskirts of Battambang, Cambodia there is a unique travel experience, a “Bamboo Train”.  The simplest of trains I have ever seen. A large bamboo platform sits atop a set of train axles and powered by a small engine. Since there is only one set of tracks, trains running in opposite directions often meet each other on the track. The train with the least number of passengers gets off along with their train allowing for the oncoming train to pass. Since the bamboo platform is only sitting on the axels the train become easy to move in three manageable parts. Brilliant!
